NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION
OFFICES TO BE ELECTED, POLLING PLACE AND VOTING HOURS

Notice is hereby given that the State General Election will be held in the City of Hackensack on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing candidates to the following offices:

Federal and State Offices

• United States Senator
• United States Representative — District 8
• Governor and Lieutenant Governor
• Secretary of State
• State Auditor
• Attorney General
• State Senator — District 5
• State Representative — District 5A

County Offices

• Cass County Commissioner — District 3, special election to fill the unexpired term ending January 8, 2029
• Cass County Sheriff
• Cass County Attorney
• Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors — Districts 1 and 5

Judicial Offices

The following judicial offices will be elected; the names in parentheses identify the judges whose successors are to be elected:

• Supreme Court Associate Justice: Seat 1 (Hennesy), Seat 2 (Gaïtas), and Seat 4 (Thissen)
• Court of Appeals Judge: Seat 1 (Bentley), Seat 7 (Bond), Seat 13 (Cochran), Seat 15 (Ross), and Seat 18 (Harris)
• Ninth Judicial District Court Judge: Seat 1 (Adam), Seat 2 (Mallie), Seat 4 (Halverson), Seat 5 (Wimmer), Seat 12 (McBroom), Seat 13 (Hawley), Seat 14 (Lorsbach), Seat 15 (Yon), Seat 19 (Austad), Seat 20 (Grover), Seat 21 (Aanes), and Seat 22 (Duffy)

City of Hackensack Offices

• City Council Member — two positions, four-year terms
• City Council Member — one position, special election for the unexpired term ending January 1, 2029

Voters in line at 8:00 p.m. will be permitted to vote.
