Liquor Store Manager
City of Hackensack – Municipal Off-Sale Liquor Store
The City of Hackensack is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Liquor Store Manager for the Municipal Off-Sale Liquor Store.
Pay Range: $22–$24 per hour (Depending on Qualifications)
Primary Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily store operations, staffing, and cash handling
• Supervise, train, and schedule staff
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and audits
• Provide excellent customer service and oversee promotions
• Track budget and prepare financial reports
• Ensure compliance with state and local liquor laws
• Utilize computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Retail or management experience preferred
• Strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
